THE ISOBAR CONFIGURATION IN NUCLEI AND ITS INFLUENCE ON THE REACTION (p,π+

  • Instead of the usual model in which the incident proton becomes a neutron and apion,we use a new model in which the incident proton becomes a Δ0 and a pion to calculate the angular distributions of the reaction 26Mg(p,π+27Mg.The obtained resu-lts show that there are considerable differences both in magnitudes and patterns of the angular distributions for the two models.
