Nonlinear Effects and Target Mass Dependence in High Energy Nucleus-Nucleus Collisions

  • Institute of Particle Physics, Huazhong Normal University, Wuhan
Fund Project:  Supported in part by the National Natural Science Fund of China.

Abstract: Two nonlinear effects in high energy heavy ion collisions-intranuclear cascade and interaction among secondary particles——are discussed. Their influence on the final-state-particle distribution and its target mass dependence are analyzed. Using the hydrodynamic model, the target mass dependence of rapidity distributions is calculated. The results agree well with the existing data.
