Ciae Heavy Ion Nuclear Research Facility

Abstract: The project of the CIAE Heavy Ion Nuclear Physics Researcher Facilities has been proposed. It is composed of a super-conducting linac with 9 cryostatus and 36 QWR cavities, which can boost the energy of heavy ion up to 18MeV/q following the existing HI-13 tandem. A new low energy heavy ion linac composed of an on-line ECR ion source, a four rods RFQ and an IH-DTL linac was also designed to accept the RNB directly from the ISOL bypassing the existing HI-13 tandem and inject the beam into the superconducting linac.
