Analytical Study of Two-Dimensional Self-Affine Fractal in Multiparticle Production of High Energy Collisions

Abstract: The self-affine cascading model of 2-dimensional phase space is discussed in some detail. The analytical expression for the scaled probability inoments, CN2 and CN3 are deduced for the self-similar analysis of a 2-dimensional self-affine fractal object with Hurst exponent H=0.5. The Levy stability indices of the model are calculated analytically. It is shown that the results of Levy indices from the Monte Carlo simulation are consistent with those from the analytical calculation. The recent experimental data from NA22 collaboration are explained qualitatively.
