Abstract: Design of cell structure and layer arrangement of the BESⅢ drift chamber are presented. The effect of stereo angles and the layers at axial-stereo boundaries on the drift-time-to-distance relation are discussed. In addition, the optimization of layer radius is performed based on the drift-time-to-distance relation.
