Abstract: Configuration-constrained calculations of potential-energy surfaces have been performed to study the shape of the Kπ=7- isomer in 130Ce. The calculated excitation energy agrees well with the experimental data. The resulting deformation indicates that this isomer has a prolate shape as large as that of the ground state. However, the potential-energy surface of the isomeric state is remarkably soft on the γ degree of freedom, which would be an indication of the K mixing.
